Rakshit Shetty, who already has two projects in hand — Avane Srimannarayana and 777 Charlie — is ready for his next film, and we hear that the filmmaker-actor has finalised on Punyakoti, a film which he will also be directing.
He will adapt the legendary tale about the honest cow and hungry tiger to the big screen with this film. It is understood that nearly everyone who is part of Avane Srimannarayana will be working on Punyakoti. The first announcement in this regard is that music director Charan Raj and cinematographer Karm Chawla are on board for the film.
Rakshit wants to make this on an epic scale, and apparently, he is considering it as a bilingual with multiple dubbed releases, as he belives the concept is universal in nature.
The actor, who was last seen in Kirik Party, is now awaiting the release of Avane Srimannarayana, which will hit theatres in August. He is currently busy shooting for 777 Charlie.
Punyakoti is likely to be a 2020 release.
