Ajay Devgn shares Kajol's 'WhatsApp' number on Twitter; calls it a prank later

The actor seemingly tweeted his wife's WhatsApp number, but was it a prank or a promotional stunt?

Ajay Devgn sent the internet in a tizzy today when he shared what was supposedly his wife Kajol's WhatsApp number on social media. "Kajol not in country.. co-ordinate with her on WhatsApp 98201XXXXX," he tweeted.

The tweet was live for more than three hours and made fans curious if his account was hacked. However, in a later tweet, Ajay dispelled that mystery by clarifying, "Pranks on film set are so passé… so tried pulling one on you guys here.."

While the bizarreness of the 'prank' left netizens confused, a person close to Kajol's upcoming film, Helicopter Eela, confirmed that the tweet was indeed a publicity stunt. Interestingly, a new song called Ruk Ruk from the upcoming film is slated for release tomorrow.

Although Bollywood celebrities often come up with interesting promotional techniques on social media, it seems like Ajay and Kajol have set a new benchmark this time around. The tweet definitely calls for a high-pitched... Aata Majhi Satakli...
