Rakul Preet, who is currently shooting for the Ajay Devgn-starrer De De Pyaar De, has shown interest in collaborating with director Krish on NTR, a biopic on the legendary actor-turned-politician of the same name.

According to our well-placed sources, Rakul has agreed in principle to be a part of the film featuring Balakrishna and Vidya Balan in the lead. “Krish met Rakul for narration last Thursday and received a positive nod from her for playing a cameo in the film with a screen presence of about 10 minutes. An official announcement on her presence is expected after she signs the dotted line by this weekend,” informs a source.

As for the film's progress, the team had recently shot pivotal sequences of the film involving Rana Daggubati and others in NTR’s apartment in Abids. Produced by Sai Korrapati, Vishnu Induri and Balakrishna, NTR features an ensemble cast including Kaikala Satyanarayana, Prakash Raj, Mohan Babu and Brahmanandam among others in crucial roles. The film chronicles the life and times of NTR from childhood to his road to stardom and his political foray. MM Keeravani is scoring the music for the film, which is slated for release during Sankranthi.
