Sanjana Sanghi defends co-star Sushant Singh Rajput, refutes harassment rumours as 'baseless' 

Actor Sanjana Sanghi has refuted rumours of being sexually harassed by co-star Sushant Singh Rajput on the sets of Kizie Aur Manny. Last week, amid rising support for the #MeToo movement in India, reports citing an anonymous source had accused Sushant of harassing Sanjana and making her feel uncomfortable while shooting for the film. The source had also accused the film’s director, Mukesh Chabra (who faces sexual harassment allegations in separate cases), of not taking a stand against Sushant.

Sanjana, who was away on a trip to USA at the time of the allegations, issued a statement on Tuesday refuting the rumours as ‘baseless’, adding that no such incident ever took place betweeh her and Sushant. 



Kizie Aur Manny is an Hindi-language adaptation of John Green’s popular young adult novel, The Fault In Our Stars, which was adapted into a Hollywood film in 2014. 

Sushant Singh Rajput was last seen in the romantic drama film, Raabta. Besides Kizie Aur Manny, his upcoming films include Sonchiriya, Chhichhore, Kedarnath and Drive

Sanjana Sanghi made her acting debut aged 14 in Imtiaz Ali’s Rockstar (2011). She was also seen in small appearances in Hindi Medium and Fukrey Returns
