Prank videos are a popular and entertaining trick to create social media buzz before a Bollywood release. Recently, Jalebi actor Varun Mitra took to Instagram to share a video in which he’s seen gracefully crooning to film’s highlight track, Tum Se.

However, as the clip ended, it was revealed that it was singer Jubin Nautiyal who was voicing the song all along and Varun was simply lip-syncing. Check it out right here

Starring Varun Mitra and Rhea Chakraborty, Jalebi is a romantic-drama about an estranged couple who reunite over a train journey. The film is produced by Mukesh Bhatt and Sakshi Bhatt under the banner of Vishesh Films. The soundtrack is composed by Jeet Gannguli, Tanishk Bagchi, Javed-Mohsin, Abhishek Mishra and Samuel-Akanksha.

Speaking about his role in the film, Varun had earlier said, “I play a very emotionally complex character and thus needed to put myself inside his mind and his heart. From my little understanding of the craft, what I know is… ‘If I don't feel it, how will you feel it?’ It's as simple as that. I must go through what the character is going through or at least experience something similar which will reflect in the same way. Gone are the days when you can fool an audience by faking with emotions.”

Jalebi is scheduled for release on October 12, 2018.
