Thamarai to be a part of Indian 2?

The Kamal Haasan-starrer Indian 2 was officially announced last September. The latest buzz about the project is that Thamarai has been roped in for the lyrics. If this is true, Indian 2 marks the first collaboration of the lyricist and director Shankar. However, official confirmation is awaited. 

The sequel to 1996's Indian is likely to go on floors in Hyderabad later this year. Currently busy with the post-production work of 2.0, Shankar will begin work on Indian 2 after Kamal Haasan completes shooting for Bigg Boss Tamil season 2. 

The film has writers Jeyamohan, Kabilan Vairamuthu and Lakshmi Saravanakumar jointly penning the dialogues.
