Kavya Thapar auditions for Varun Tej’s next

The actor is in consideration to play the second lead in Sankalp Reddy's space adventure, which has Aditi Rao Hydari as the female lead

Kavya Thapar, who is set to make her debut in Telugu opposite Rahul Vijay, has auditioned for a role in Varun Tej’s space adventure. To be directed by Sankalp Reddy, the film has Aditi Rao Hydari as the female lead.

“Kavya gave a look test for the role and Sankalp is convinced that she would fit the bill perfectly as the second lead opposite Varun. Even though the role has a limited screen time, it will create a lasting impact in the tale,” says a source. “Sankalp is taking time to finalise the actor for this role. He is also in negotiations with several others including a young female actor, who has been struggling with flops. He will be finalising one of them in a few days,” adds the source from the production team.

To be presented by Krish, and produced jointly by Y Rajeev Reddy and Jagarlamudi Sai Babu, the film’s principal shooting will commence in the last week of April in Georgia.
