Patty Jenkins casts Kristen Wigg for Wonder Woman 2

The actor will be playing the villain in the upcoming sequel to Wonder Woman

Actor-comedian Kristen Wiig has landed a role in Patty Jenkins' Wonder Woman 2. She will be playing the villain in the sequel to last year's hit DC Extended Universe film.

Jenkins tweeted the news yesterday.

The hashtag hints at Wiig's speculated role as Cheetah, the sequel's villain and Wonder Woman's longtime comic book rival with superhuman strength and agility who hungers for human flesh.

Actress Gal Gadot also welcomed Wiig to the project.
