Marvel head confirms Doctor Strange 2

Doctor Strange, released in 2016, introduced us to the Sorcerer Supreme of the Marvel universe. The film, which had Sherlock-fame Benedict Cumberbatch in the titular role, was praised for its visuals and went on to become a hit. Two years after the film's release Marvel Studios' President, Kevin Feige, has confirmed during a recent media interaction that the film is getting a sequel. This has also kindled the curiosity of the fans as the character vanished into thin air along with several other Superheroes at the end of the last Marvel film, Avengers: Infinity War

Though he has revealed that the sequel is certainly happening, he was careful not to mention when the project is going on floors and where the story is positioned in the chronology of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Doctor Strange in the MCU is a doctor-turned-sorcerer who guards the timezones of the universe using magic and the eye of Agamanto (Time Stone). Apart from the solo film and Avengers: Infinity War, the character made a cameo appearance in the 2017 film, Thor: Ragnarok.

Meanwhile, the next film of the MCU, Antman and the Wasp, which answers where Scott Lang was between the events of Captain America: Civil War and Avengers: Infinity War, is scheduled to hit the screens on July 6th.
