Gurunandan's next titled, Raju James Bond

Gurunandan, who is waiting for the release of DP Raghuram’s Missing Boy, is taking his time to sign his next project. The 1st Rank Raju actor, who is said to have exited from Nagathihalli Chandrashekar’s film because of date clashes, will reportedly be associating with a whole new team for his next. The actor has kept this project under wraps. However, Cinema Express has learnt that he is now joining hands with director Deepak Madhuvanahalli who made his directorial debut with Bhagyaraj. He is currently busy with the release of Kalbettada Darode Koraru.

Inspired by a true story that took place in Punjab, the screenplay and dialogues written by Deepak caught the attention of the actor. The thriller comedy is touted to be the story of a bank robbery, and the makers have apparently changed the story to suit Kannada sensibilities. Even for this film, the actor has not let go of his popular screen name, Raju and the film is therefore titled Raju James Bond, according to our source. “It will be a change from his previous films,” the source adds.

In all likelihood, Manohar Joshi will be on board as the cinematographer. The team is still finalising the music composer. If all goes as per plan, the filming of Raju James Bond will start from August and it will be primarily shot in Sanduru. More details about the project such as the cast will be out soon.
