Sayaji Shinde turns hero for Aghori

The film also stars Riaz Khan, Mime Gopi, and Sidhu

We reported earlier that after Bala's Naan Kadavul, which was released almost a decade ago, debutant DS Rajkumar is directing a film on Aghori sadhus aptly titled Aghori. While the actor starring in the lead of this film was kept under wraps for a long time, it's now confirmed that Sayaji Shinde will be playing the titular role.

Recently seen in Rajinikanth's Kaala, the actor will be making a comeback as the lead in Tamil cinema after his debut film Bharathi back in 2000. The horror film with thriller elements is reportedly about the face-off between an Aghori and a ghost. Said to have about an hour's worth of CGI scenes, Aghori's shooting was wrapped up earlier this week. Produced and written by RP Bala, who has previously written dialogues for the dubbed version of Mohanlal’s Pulimurugan, the film also stars Riaz Khan, Mime Gopi, and Sidhu.
