The shooting of the first part of the gangster triology directed by Vetrimaaran has been completed
Director Vetrimaaran and Dhanush are collaborating for the third time after Polladhavan and Aadukalam for Vada Chennai, and as we had reported earlier, it'll be a trilogy. The latest news is that the first part of this gangster trilogy has been wrapped up. Samuthirakani, who plays an important role in the film, confirmed this via his Twitter profile. It's worth noting that the film was in pre-production stage for years and the shooting commenced on June 2016 following which the subsequent schedules were delayed due to several factors including Visaaranai getting nominated for Oscars, and Dhanush's commitments like his directorial debut, Pa Paandi.
Said to portray the life of a gangster from a young age, the first part is reportedly set in the 1970s and has been extensively shot in North Chennai. Apart from Dhanush, the film also stars Aishwarya Rajesh, Andrea Jeremiah, Daniel Balaji, Kishore and Karunas
