Grand Ambasamudram sets constructed in Chennai for Suriya 36

The buzz surrounding Suriya and Selvarghavan's next, referred as Suriya 36, keeps getting louder. The latest news is that the team has built massive sets resembling the temple and residential areas of Ambasamudram for the next schedule in Chennai.

According to sources, a huge budget of three crore has been spent for the sets and a crew of around 200 workers has worked on it under the supervision of the film's art director Vijay Murugan.

The director has reportedly decided to go with the sets considering the practical difficulties of shooting with a large crowd of junior artistes in real locations.

The film, co-starring Rakul Preet and Sai Pallavi, was in the talks for a long time and officially went on floors on January 1.

Having completed the first schedule recently, the team has planned to shoot a crucial portion of the film in the set for 20 days.

The film is produced by Dream Warrior Pictures, whose last production was the critically acclaimed Aruvi, and it is slated for release on Diwali this year, alongside Vijay's film with AR Murugadoss.
