JK aka Jayaram Karthik to make his Bollywood debut

JK aka Jayaram Karthik has been out of the house of Bigg Boss Kannada Season 5 for less than a week, after coming in the top three, and he is already flooded with film offers. The actor currently has two Kannada projects in hand, both to be directed by Dayal Padmanabhan - Aa Karaala Rathri and Putta 109 -- the subjects for which he had discussed with the director, who was also at the Bigg Boss house. But what's more interesting is that JK, who came to the limelight as Ravan in the Hindi serial Siya Ka Ram, will soon make his Bollywood debut.

An excited JK shares this news with CE. “This was a project, which was planned before I entered Bigg Boss house, but it was still at the discussion stage when we met last October, though I knew it was likely to start in February 2018. Later, I joined Bigg Boss as a contestant, without informing them. But fortunately, the makers had not considered any other actor, and waited for me. Now it is all set to start in March,” says Karthik, who will be part of the commercial flick, Lucknow based.

Interestingly, this film will be directed by Ramesh Talwar, who will be helming a film after nine years. “The last film he directed was in 2009,” says JK. While the rest of the cast is yet to be finalised the buzz is that Gauhar Khan has been approached to play the female lead, though this is yet to be confirmed.

JK is apparently also likely to be part of another Hindi film, along with Krishna Abhishek. This film will be directed by Dinakar Kapoor. “More details on this will be revealed once we are closer to go on floors with the project,” he says.
