Catherine not part of Kanithan remake

There has been a strong buzz that Catherine Tresa would share screen space with Nikhil in the Telugu remake of Tamil film Kanithan.

However, there seems to be no truth in these reports. Denying reports that the Sarrainodu actor will reprise her part in the Telugu remake of the TN Santosh-directorial, a source close to Catherine says, “She has not been approached for this remake. Although she enjoyed doing Kanithan, she has no idea where such baseless reports are pouring in from about the Telugu version. She has not signed on any Telugu film until now.”

Hinting at the possibility of the actor soon bagging one of the female lead roles in a big Telugu project, the source adds, “Catherine is in talks to play one of the female leads in a big-ticket Telugu film. However, the discussions are in the early stages and a clearer picture will emerge in a week.”
