The pre-release event of KGF, starring Kannada star Yash, was held in the presence of filmmmaker SS Rajamouli on Sunday in Hyderabad. The ace director begun his speech in Kannada, greeting Yash's fans, and heaped praise on the film. "Producer Sai Korrapati told me Yash, the son of a bus driver, is the rising star in Kannada cinema. I happened to meet Yash in May during my stay in Bengaluru for RRR story discussions. It was then the team showed me the visuals of KGF. Its content and visual effects are undoubtedly the most luring factors of the film. I was completely blown away its realistic feel and immediately called Anil Thadani and asked him to see what he can do about this film in Hindi. I also called Sai Korrapati and Shobu Yarlagadda and asked them to do something for the Telugu version, and I'm happy it's releasing in Telugu now," said Rajamouli.

He added that the film's title is universal and it will connect with everyone. "KGF is the result of three years of hard work. I'm happy that they have been able to create a pan-India film with a universal subject. Telugu audience have always been passionate about cinema, and if the film is as good as its trailer, KGF will become a big hit not only in the Telugu states but also across India," he said.

Legendary actor Kaikala Satyanarayana, who is presenting the film in Telugu, was felicitated at the event. Directed by Prashanth Neel, KGF is slated for release on December 21 in Kannada, Hindi, Telugu, Malayalam, and Tamil.
