Vinay to do a Rajkumar

One of the classic Kannada songs of the 1980’s My Lord Nanna Vaada Keli Keli Keli, from the film Chalisuva Modagalu starring Dr Rajkumar, will now be recreated for his grandson Vinay Rajkumar in his upcoming film Ananthu v/s Nusrath.

This orignial track was set in a courtroom, and sequence featured Rajkumar and Ambika. Since Vinay plays a lawyer in the film, the makers felt that this song would fit in well with the narrative. The 45-second version will feature Vinay and Latha Hegde.

The team is planning to shoot the song towards the end of this month either at Kanteerava Studio or at Mohan B Kere Studio. They will be replicating the whole sequence and even the costumes for the lead actors will be similar to what Rajkumar and Ambika wore in the original. The newer version will be choreographed by Manju.

This song will be even more special for Vinay because it will be released on his birthday on May 7.  

The talkie portions of the film, directed by Sudheer Shanbhodue, were completed on Monday. They now have to shoot two songs and a fight. Made under Manikya Productions, Ananthu v/s Nusrath has music by Sunadh Goutam and cinematography by Abhishek Kasargod.
