Aakanksha Singh in Nagarjuna-Nani film

Nagarjuna has started shooting for his new film, directed by Sriram Adittya and co-starring Nani. Now, it has been confirmed that Aakanksha Singh will play the female lead opposite Nag.

“After tossing up a few names, the team has now settled on Aakanksha, who made an impressive debut with Malli Raava. She will begin shooting for her portions in the next schedule,” says a source.

Touted to be an action-comedy, the film has Nagarjuna playing as a mafia don and Nani in the role of a doctor. Rashmika Mandanna plays the other female lead of the film, while Sampoornesh Babu appears in a crucial cameo.

Produced by Vyjayanthi Movies, the film’s second schedule is currently underway in Hyderabad. The yet-to-be-titled project has music by Mani Sharma.
