Actor Bellamkonda Sai Sreenivas’s Saakshyam which was slated for release on May 11, has been postponed to June. According to a source, the filmmakers have decided to push its release owing to the delay in special effects.
“Citing the need to finish extensive special effects, the team has decided to defer its release from May 11 to June 14 coinciding with Ramzan. The decision came a few days back before the team jetted off to the US to shoot a song and some crucial scenes of the film with Sreenivas, Pooja Hegde, Vennela Kishore and others,” says a source.
Directed by Sriwass, the film shows Sreenivas as a video game developer from the West. It boasts of high-voltage action sequences, and reportedly, Sreenivas was trained in BMX riding, flyboarding and jet skiing to get into the skin of his character.
Also starring Jagapathi Babu, Meena, Rao Ramesh, Ravi Kishan and Sarath Kumar, Saakshyam is being produced by Abhishek Nama and has music by Harshavardhan Rameshwar.
