Marvel's Grandmaster and Collector could team-up soon
Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige has revealed his interest in teaming up this character with his brother the Collector
Thor: Ragnarok, which is releasing in India this Friday, has Jeff Goldblum debuting in the Marvel Cinematic Universe as Grandmaster, one of the Elders of the Universe, who rules the planet Sakaar, and enjoys manipulating lesser life-forms. Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige has revealed his interest in teaming up this character with his brother the Collector, who was introduced in Thor: The Dark World's and also appeared in Guardians of the Galaxy. Benicio del Toro played the role of the Collector in both films.
In a recent interview, Feige said, “We love the idea that they’re brothers. If you go on the Guardians of the Galaxy: Mission Breakout attraction at California Adventure (Disney's theme park), you will see a picture on Collector’s wall of him and the Grandmaster playing some sort of a space chess game. Right now this is the only place you can see the two of them in a frame together, but let’s hope that changes someday.”
The Thor film has already grossed $100 million at the box office ahead of its Asian release. Apart from bringing back fan favourites Chris Hemsworth and Tom Hiddleston as Thor and Loki, the film will also star Mark Ruffalo as Hulk, Tessa Thompson as Valkyrie and Cate Blanchett as Hela.
