Indian 2 with Kamal Haasan is still on

Ever since Kamal Haasan and director Shankar announced their plans for a sequel to Indian, people have been speculating a lot regarding the film's script and the cast. Recently, certain reports hinted that Kamal Haasan had walked out of the mega-project and that Suriya would replace him. However, a spokesperson of producer Dil Raju dismissed the reports as baseless and clarified that Indian 2 will commence after the release of director Shankar’s 2.0 with Rajinikanth.

An official announcement on the cast and crew is expected in February 2018. Kamal Haasan will meanwhile complete his long-delayed Vishwaroopam 2 and Sabaash Naidu before moving on to this project.
