‘Romance in Tagaru isn’t staged, but is candid’

Shivarajkumar-starrer Tagaru is on track, with director Suri hoping to complete work on the movie by the end of this month. The filmmaker recently shot a romantic song in Bengaluru with Shivarajkumar and Bhavana.

Suri says that he was particular that each track should look different. “We wanted the picturisation of the beautiful track composed by Charan Raj, which has lines such as ‘Badukina bannave badaladare adu premave’, to capture the mood,” the director explains.

For the next schedule, Suri will work on another combination sequence with Dhananjay and Vasishta Simha. The team will stop at Hosapete for the next song’s shoot. “This will be another unique track... a peppy number with Shivanna and Manvitha Harish with Lambanis in the backdrop. I will shoot my last song sequence for the movie in Goa,” says Suri.

Tagaru, a debut production venture by KP Srikanth, is highly anticipated for its combination of Shivarajkumar and Suri. The moviegoers are expecting a different offering from this pair. Another attraction will be actor Dhananjay, who plays an antagonist for the first time. “We are hoping for a December release, and working towards it,” he says.

The film’s cinematography is by Mahendra Simha.
