AR Rahman thanks Prasoon Joshi

The music director took to Instagram to thank the CBFC Chairman for making Mersal's certification process easy

Oscar winning composer AR Rahman recently met Prasoon Joshi, Chairman of the Central Board of Film Certification. In a video on Instagram, Rahman thanked Joshi for making Mersal's certification process easy. "Without this man's support, the film couldn't have been released on time," he added.

One may recall that the film received huge opposition from the Animal Welfare Board of India at the last moment, and consequently, the film's release by Diwali had faced a lot of uncertainty. It was said that the makers didn't obtain permission for using animals and birds in the film. But the film finally cleared all hurdles and was released on schedule.

Prasoon, meanwhile, has been in the news recently for keeping silent on the Padmavati row.
