Arav signs his next

Sameer Bharat Ram, who co-produced Uriyadi, is directing an urban-based romantic film with Arav in the lead. 

The filmmaker tells CE, "I watched Kaaka Muttai Manikandan's short film Meendum Oru Punnagai and thought it can be made into a full-length feature film." Interestingly, Manikandan himself will write the screenplay for this untitled film. 

Sameer adds, he has roped in Nalan Kumarasamy for the dialogues. "Nalan and I have been friends for many years now," he says.

The film will be set against the backdrop of an IT firm, according to Sameer. "Arav is keen to do this film," he says. 

This yet-to-be-titled film will have two heroines, as it talks about the issues revolving around modern day love. "We have no plans of casting Oviya in the project. That's not our intention. Also, we are not cashing in on Arav's popularity. The script needed him," he clarifies. 

Post his Bigg Boss stint, Arav signed a film with Saravanan of Silambattam fame, and he's currently working on it.
