Published: 01st November 2017

We had told you Oscar-winning sound designer Resul Pookutty was about to make his acting debut with Oru Kadhai Sollattumaa. Directed by Prasad Prabhakar, the film will be titled The Sound Story in Malayalam, Telugu and Hindi.

Now we hear that Resul will play a sound designer in the film, who gets to cover the sounds at the annual Thrissur temple festival.

Prasad says, "The festival is usually attended by 10 lakh people. So filming there proved quite a challenge to the team. We captured over 300 live performing artistes using 22 cameras. You can even watch this film with your eyes closed. It's going to be a different experience for the audience." The team had to prepare themselves for the festival at least three to four months in advance, adds Prasad.

Oru Kadhai Sollattumaa has music by Rahul Raj and lyrics by Vairamuthu. Interestingly, songs have been recorded in AR Rahman's studio.
