Ranya's keeping her next venture hush-hush
"I had two good debuts in Kannada and Tamil, but I am going slow now, as I have to be more mature," she says.

Ranya Rao, who started her career with Sudeep starrer Manikya, is now taking time out to improve her craft, while also focusing on getting fit. Close to the release of Pataki, the actress tells City Express about her next move. "With Pataki, I'm just three films down. Though there are a lot of things going on in the work front, I can't reveal any of it right now," says Ranya. "My passion is still alive and my vision is still strong. I only want to get better as an actress," she says. Ranya isn't in a hurry to be part of a vast number of films, however. "I had two good debuts in Kannada and Tamil, but I am going slow now, as I have to be more mature," she explains. Pataki was a 2-year commitment, and Ranya is looking forward to its release. "The project has taken a long time, but I am happy to hear a lot of positive buzz surrounding the film, which is directed by Manju Swaraj. With an actor like Ganesh, one can expect a complete entertainer. Pataki is a different genre for me and I'm happy to be part of a lighthearted film. I also got to do some dance moves in it," she adds. The actress, who is currently based out of Mumbai, tells us that she doesn't want to leave her fans clueless about her next project. "My next might be a Kannada or a Malayalam film. You never know, I might also get into B-town soon. It' too early to talk about it, and I prefer keeping it quiet until then. I am also still in the learning phase," she concludes
