Kangana to play an 80-year-old
The actor's directorial debut is a tribute to all the old people she had come across in her life
Kangana Ranaut is turning director with Teju in which she will play an octogenarian. We hear she'll start working on this project once she completes her ongoing one, Manikarnika - The Queen of Jhansi. To be shot in the Himalayas, Teju has been scheduled to release by the end of next year.
The actress will also jointly produce the film under her newly launched banner, Manikarnika Films, with Shailesh Singh, who had produced Tanu Weds Manu and Simran.
In a statement, she confirmed she would play an 80-year-old woman. "The film will be about every old person I know and have loved. It will also be a lot about me as I am older than my years."
This announcement comes fresh in the wake of writer Apurva Asrani accusing her for taking credit for his work in Kangana's upcoming film, Simran.
