Lisa Ray doesn't like the horror genre but she liked the script and the chance to play as Adil Hussain’s wife in Dobaara was something she wasn't going to let go. Lisa says, “Adil is one of the finest actors that we have. We have bonded well on the sets and it was a wonderful experience to work with him. The common link between us was theatre. I have trained in theatre at London and learnt a lot of things from him and consider him as my guru. I still call him to know how to prepare for a particular role. He has a lot to share.”
Asked her if she would want to get into direction in future, she says, “Yes I would want to direct as well as write in future. At the moment I am working on a memoir. I do have some film offers but then again I have my art and poems and my personal life. So it is bit difficult to divide time.  I want to compile poems and get it published. But first the memoir.”
