RK Suresh and Varu team up for something new
They join hands after Tharai Thappattai

Film producer and actor RK Suresh is joining hands once again with Varalaxmi Sarathkumar for a film titled Vargam. Unlike their previous collaboration, Tharai Thappattai, in which he played the antagonist, he dons the lead role in this film.
Talking to CE, the actor says, "The film is directed by SS Rajamouli's associate director Salai Indrajith. Apart from Varalaxmi and me, the film also has bodybuilder M Kamaraj, who plays the villain role. What's interesting is that we're planning to finish the film in three days - a record of sorts. Rehearsals have been going on for one month, and for the first time, we're planning to do a live shoot in which actors will go about performing which will be captured by cameras placed in different angles."
Calling it a challenging film, he adds, "It's a very hard to pull something like this. It's a different experience for all of us. It'll be an experimental film with commercial aspects along the lines of Pithamagan."
Talking more about the script, he says, "The story has previously been made as a stage play, and it won a lot of International and National awards. Even K Balachander has lauded the script. Pre-production work to transform it into a feature film has been going on for more than 4 years. When I listened to the script, I immediately recommended Varalaxmi as I felt only she can do such a role."
Bankrolled by Drumstick Productions, the film is set to go on floors around the end of this month, with the first schedule planned to happen in the outskirts of Chennai,
