Nithya replaces Samantha in U Turn remake

Reports indicate that Nithya Menen, who’s currently busy with Vijay 61 and Mahanati, will replace Samantha in the Tamil-Telugu remake of the hit Kannada murder-mystery U-Turn. Though Samantha was keen to work in the remake initially, she has now walked out of the project due to unknown reasons. It looks like Nithya has signed on the dotted line already. Pawan Kumar of Lucia fame, who directed the original, has confirmed that he will not helm the remake. The film, whose protagonist is an investigative journalist, is in the pre-production stages with other details being awaited. Nithya also has Rohini’s Appavin Meesai in her kitty.
