Alia Bhatt to play a dwarf?

Buzz is that Alia Bhatt is likely to play a dwarf along with Shah Rukh Khan in Anand L. Rai’s upcoming film that has been in news for a while now. The actress reportedly liked the script and her character a lot. Although the director is yet to make an official announcement, it is said that Katrina Kaif has been finalised to play one of the leads and Alia, too, has been roped in. A source says, “The makers have been in talks with her for a long time now. Deepika was earlier keen to do it but she was unavailable. So, Alia was the clear choice.” Both her character and Shah Rukh’s are said to be dwarfs. The actor has been preparing for his role for the past few weeks and he has clarified that it is not along the lines of Kamal Haasan’s Appu Raja (Apoorva Sagodharargal). Alia is set to do a lot of research to do this role too, considering there is little precedence of an actress playing a dwarf. The film will go on the floors soon and is slated for release next year.
