Imran Khan turns director

Imran Khan is all set to direct his first film. According to sources, the actor approached his uncle Aamir with a script and the latter liked it. Buzz is that Aamir has promised to support his nephew in this new role.

It is to be noted that Aamir launched Imran as an actor in the 2008 film, Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na. Though Imran went on to act in quite a few films after that, his acting career has not really taken off. Imran now seems set for a new innings in the industry, and has voiced excitement about directing a film. A source shares that Imran is also quite nervous about his directorial debut. “He knows the audience will expect the best from him.”

It is said that the film will go on floors sometime this year, and might be produced by Anurag Kashyap. The actors are yet to be finalised.
