It's about loving the nature
Actors and directors across Kerala take part in World Environment Day celebrations
Nothing like star power to advocate a cause. The superstars of Mollywood took some time off their busy schedules to spare a thought for the withering nature on Monday, World Environment Day.
Mohanlal, who was shooting for Lal Jose’s Velipadinte Pusthakam, planted a sapling to mark the day. He also expressed happiness to be part of the Kerala Government’s initiative to plant one crore saplings across the state.
Mammootty shared a picture of distributing saplings to school students. In his Facebook post, he said, “The best time to plant a tree was 20 years ago. The second best time is now!” (sic).
Kunchacko Boban, whose latest, Ramante Eden Thottam was all about nature, also pledged his support for the Kerala government’s Haritha Keralam mission of one tree for every three people.
Director Jayaraj has launched a drive, under the auspices of Birds Club International, to create one lakh miniature forests in Kerala.
