Yesterday, we reported that the distribution company MKS Talkies acquired the rights of the Vijay-starrer Mersal. It's now confirmed that the same company has gotten the rights for Ajith's Vivegam for an undisclosed amount which they confirmed through their Twitter profile. "It's official, Vivegam Australia and New Zealand deal done last night. Record price for any Ajith movie. Grand release by us," read the tweet.

Meanwhile, the teaser of Vivegam has garnered more than 506,000 likes on YouTube from its 18 million views. It is now the most liked Indian film teaser on the video website, surpassing the record held by Salman Khan's Tubelight which has more than 500,000 likes. Previously, the record for the most liked Tamil film teaser was held by Rajini's Kabali, which currently stands at more than 464,000 likes.

Vivegam, the international spy thriller, directed by Siva is bankrolled by Sathya Jyothi Films. The film, which also stars Kajal Aggarwal, Akshara Haasan, Vivek Oberoi and Karunakaran, is expected to release on August 10.
