After Kaatru Veliyidai, director Mani Ratnam is ready for his next, and the first person on board for this untitled project is the National Award winning cinematographer Santhosh Sivan. This will be the sixth time the duo will work together after Thalapathi, Roja, Iruvar, Uyire (Dil Se) and Raavanan (Raavan). It's worth noting that the 4-time National award winning cinematographer won 2 of the awards for Mani's Iruvar and Uyire.
Sources say this project will be a bilingual and the lead actors are yet to be finalised, thereby putting to rest the rumours of Ram Charan playing the lead. The film is to be bankrolled by Mani Ratnam's Madras Talkies and will have his usual collaborator, AR Rahman's music.
Santhosh Sivan is currently busy with AR Murugadoss's Spyder starring Mahesh Babu.
