The return of Bhumika

She took the industry by storm with her impeccable performances in films like Kushi, Okkadu and Simhadri among others, and now, actress Bhumika Chawla returns to what she likes to do the most.

The 38-year-old actress, who was last seen in Bollywood film MS Dhoni: The Untold Story, has landed a crucial role in Nani’s MCA (Middle Class Abbai). “Bhumika will be seen as Nani’s sister-in-law, while Rajeev Kanakala plays her husband. It’s a pivotal role and the story centres around her,” says a source. Venu Sreeram, who has directed Oh My Friend, is helming the rom-com produced by Dil Raju.

The film, which features Sai Pallavi as the female lead, is progressing at a rapid pace in Hyderabad.
