While it's well known that actor Ram Charan plays the role of a villager named Chitti Babu in his upcoming film Rangasthalam, not much was known till now about Samantha Akkineni's looks for her part  as the female lead in the Sukumar directorial.

Even before her official look from the film was released, a few pictures that were leaked online, showing the actor pulling a buffalo and cooking on open fire, have generated great excitement. It seems Samantha has gone through a huge change in terms of her looks for the film and will be seen in a rustic makeover.

“It’s a never-seen-before avatar for both Samantha and Ram Charan. The former looks almost unrecognisable and was really fond of her village belle look. She will be seen sporting a sari throughout the film and has tanned herself to get into the skin of the character,” says a source.

Produced by Mythri Movie Makers, the film’s shooting is almost complete and it is poised for release on March 30.

“Except for a couple of songs requiring a five-day shoot, the film has been wrapped up. The post-production formalities are underway and the film will hit the marquee during Charan’s birthday weekend,” adds the source.

Also starring Jagapathi Babu, Aadhi Pinisetty, Anasuya and Prakash Raj in key roles, the film has music by Devi Sri Prasad.
