Puneeth to only star in home productions

Sources say actor will work only for his production house, PRK Productions, after completing present commitments with Rockline Venkatesh and Hombale Films

Having seen consistent success at the box office from the beginning of his acting career, Puneeth Rajkumar is now ready for higher goals. According to sources, the actor has decided to work only in movies made under PRK Productions, which he owns, after he is done with his present commitments.

“Puneeth has decided that he will produce all movies he will act in,” says our source. “He is currently working on Anjaniputra, directed by Harsha and produced by MN Kumar. He has also committed to a film with producer Rockline Venkatesh and another one to be made under Hombale Banner, after these he will not be working for any other production house.”

Puneeth’s mother Parvathamma Rajkumar had built an indomitable empire with Vajreshwari and Poornima Enterprises and made 80 successful films including Trimurthi, Haalu Jenu, Kaviratna Kalidasa and Jeevana Chaitra under it. The banner also launched the Rajkumar sons - Shivarajkumar, Raghavendra Rajkumar and Puneeth. Now the youngest seems confident enough to continue this legacy.

Sources state that the actor will stay focussed on his acting career and the newly opened PRK Production, which will be overlooked by his wife Ashwini Puneeth Rajkumar. The production house is already producing serials and now it will expand its scope to include movies even of other actors and by other directors as well.

Accordingly, Puneeth’s next project with director Shashank will be made under his production, and the first film coming out from PRK banner for an ‘outsider’ will be Hemanth M Rao’s Kavalu Daari.
