Team Kabali reunite for Kuzhali
Sai Dhanshika is working on Kuzhali, a women-centric film directed by Ramanaw Mallam
Sai Dhanshika, who is awaiting the release of Vizhithiru, Kaala Koothu, Kitna and Solo, is also working on Kuzhali (Tamil for long hair), a women-centric film that will see her teaming up again with Kabali's editor Praveen KL and stunt choreographers Anbariv. The film is directed by debutant Ramanaw Mallam who has worked as an associate with Gautham Menon and Cheran.
Talking about the film which is about 40 per cent complete, a source close to the unit says, "Even with all the rights women have, they aren't free to do what they want. Kuzhali will talk about this and Dhanshika will be seen fighting for them." The film will also have a powerful character in Dhanshika's father role and the makers are apparently trying to rope in someone from Bollywood for it. Apart from this, there's also another important role for which a top hero will be cast.
Kuzhali will have a jallikattu sequence in which Dhanshika will tame a bull. "The team have even chosen a bull from Alanganallul in Madurai for this sequence and it'll be an interesting element in the film," the source adds.
