Dinakar Thoogudeepa recently announced his next directorial, whose script will be written by his wife Manasa. The director, who had roped in Prem and Prajwal Devaraj for the film, titled Life Jothe Ondh Selfie, has now brought Hariprriya on board.

The film is based on friendship, and will see the actress sharing screen space with the two leading actors. Dinakar, who was always keen on having a Kannada heroine for his film, thought Hariprriya was the perfect fit. “There are many good Kannada heroines, and we were on the lookout for someone who would suit the role. After a few rounds of discussion with the team, the unanimous choice was Hariprriya. And she gave us the nod the moment we approached her,” he says.

Dinakar also says that among Harripriya’s films, he liked her performance in Neer Dose the best till date. “Her role in Life Jothe Ondh Selfie has no romantic connections, this is something different from her previous films,” he says.

Hariprriya is also happy to be working with Dinakar, as this will only raise the bar for her as an actress. The makers are planning something very different in for the film in terms of how it looks, which will be revealed soon.

Life Jothe Ondh Selfie is produced by Samruddhi Manjunath under Viraat Sai Creations, and shooting will start in September. V Harikrishna is doing the music for the film, with Niranjan Babu as its cinematographer.
