With actor Ganesh and director Suni teaming up once again, expectations are high. Naturally so, since this actor-director combo was behind the hit film, Chamak. There’s a lot of curiosity around Sakath, their second outing, a courtroom drama which is based on a reality show.

Recently, Ganesh revealed on Twitter that he is playing a blind person in the film. “Playing a blind person is new to me, and I am enjoying the process,” says Ganesh, who will complete 15 years in the cinema industry next month.

“After Chamak, I had a conversation with director Suni, and I told him that I was looking for a content-driven entertainer which should also have a scope for me as an actor. And Suni came up with the story of Sakath. It is based on a reality show, and when the director told me that I will be playing the role of a blind person, I agreed instantly,” says the Mungaru Male hero.

“Suni has come up with a good screenplay and the film is shaping up to be an entertaining thriller. There is action too and the director has also penned some excellent dialogues for the film. Overall, it will be a complete entertainer and totally different from what I've done before. It has been a thrilling experience for me, and I hope it will be the same for the audience when they watch it in theatres,” he adds.

Made under the KVN banner and Suprith Productions, Sakath features Nishvika Naidu as the female lead. She is also said to be playing a blind character in the film.

The film, which has music by Judah Sandy and cinematography by Santhosh Rai Pathaje, marks the debut of actor Surbhi.

Ganesh, who will soon be completing a schedule for Sakath, will next be joining the sets of Tribble Riding. He will be completing the shoot of pending songs for that film, post which he will hop on to Yogaraj Bhat’s Gaalipata 2.
