After the success of Shubh Mangal Saavdhan, which was a remake of his Tamil film Kalyana Samayal Saadham, director RS Prasanna has begun works on his next film. This yet-to-be-titled film will be bankrolled by Siddharth Roy Kapur who has previously produced some of the biggest hits of Bollywood, including Chennai Express, Dangal and Barfi!

Talking to CE, Prasanna says, "It will be a fun film that'll take me to the next level. At the same time, it'll have the feel-goodness of my previous films. I'd like to stick to this genre for the next few projects. It won't be based on an adult topic like SMS, and I can assure that it will be a family film."

He adds, "Siddharth called me after seeing the trailer of SMS. I only had an idea of the film and he was happy with it. I'm yet to expand it into a script." He calls Siddharth "one of the most exciting directors of Indian cinema," and adds, "His filmography in the last decade stands as a testimony to it. He is known for entertaining, yet unusual, films and that's the zone I prefer to work in also."

Prasanna will also be handling the screenplay for this upcoming film. The lead actors are expected to be chosen once the script work is complete.

RKF (Roy Kapur Films) is currently producing the Rakesh Sharma (the first Indian in space) biopic with Aamir Khan, and another film based on the book How I braved Anu aunty and co-founded a million dollar company, with Nitesh Tiwari who directed Dangal
