Today, when filmmaking is more a business, a film’s long run in theatres calls for celebrations. One such successful film is the Dhurva Sarja-starrer and Chethan Kumar-directorial Bharjari, which completed 50 days in 71 centres with 3,000 plus shows in multiplexes across Karnataka.

The film’s team, including the actor, visited theatres today and fans of Dhruva Sarja organised a blood donation camp to mark the occassion.

CE caught up with the actor, who sounds overjoyed. “I hope Bharjari sees another successful 50-day run in theatres and scores a century,” he says.

Meanwhile, rumours about the actor’s next project abound, with speculations rife that Pogaru is getting delayed and may even be shelved as Dhruva Sarja did not like its story. When asked about this, pat comes the reply from Dhruva: “Every rumour about me only pushes me to do better. If you ask me what is my next, I would say Pogaru, though it is true that the project is seeing delays and there are reasons for it.”

He adds that he is in constant dialogue with the production team. “Whatever questions the audience have, I raise it with the filmmakers,” he says. “We need to give it our hundred per cent so that we don’t have to answer uncomfortable questions later. But the reasons being discussed for its delay are wrong. I am preparing myself for the role and do not want to talk much about it till the film goes on floors.”
