Sakshi thrilled to work with Rajini

The Ka Ka Ka Po actress talks to CE about bagging a role in Kaala

Published: 31st May 2017

Sakshi Aggarwal has hit the jackpot. Last seen in Ka Ka Ka Po, the actress has landed a key role in Kaala, and she is thrilled to be sharing screen space with Superstar Rajinikanth. "Even though it’s a brief role, I accepted the offer because I see it as a great opportunity to prove myself in a big film. More than being a good heroine, my priority is to be a good actor,” Sakshi tells CE, adding that her portions will be shot in Chennai as well as Mumbai.

Sakshi was approached by director Pa Ranjith’s assistant Jenny. "After I auditioned, there was extensive rehearsal for 15 days. It was quite intense. I consider it a privilege to work with Rajini sir. Being part of such a big project will be a boon to my career," she said. Having already met the superstar during the film's photo-shoot, Sakshi was awestruck. "I wasn’t nervous, but it was a fan moment for me. I was quite excited. I can’t wait to start shooting with him."

Kaala reunites Ranjith and Rajinikanth after Kabali, and it also stars Huma Qureshi, Anjali Patil, Nana Patekar, and Samuthirakani. The film, which is produced by Dhanush, is currently being shot in Mumbai.
