Samyuktha Hegde's love story has her speechless

The actress, paired opposite Prabhu Mundkur for the first time, will be playing a girl who cannot speak or hear in the romance

Samyuktha Hegde, who had a hugely successful debut with Kirik Party, has set a high bar for her future projects. The actress, who is currently shooting for Kaalej Kumar directed by Santhosh, is now readying to start work on her third Sandalwood project.

Titled Omme Nishabda Omme Yudha, her third film has technicians mostly from Tollywood with Srinag helming the project. The director has made a mark in the Telugu industry and had his Kannada directorial debut with Nitya Jothe Satya.

Though Samyuktha remains tightlipped about this movie, our source says that the actress is excited about the role — she plays a girl who cannot speak or hear in the love story. She definitely sees scope for performance in this. "For an actress, who has been part of two films set around college life, this role is definitely more complex role and that is one of the reasons the actress has agreed to be part of this project," our source says.

Omme Nishabda Omme Yudha will bring yet another fresh pair to the screen. Samyuktha has been paired opposite Prabhu Mundkur, another promising talent in Kannada. The actor started with Urvi and is waiting for his next, Double Engine, to be released. Meanwhile, the actor is busy shooting back-to-back projects including Anjali Papa, Gelayana Gelathi, Avanalli Evalilli  and Relax Sathya.

With the filmmakers having decided on their lead cast, we now wait for an official announcement from them. Meanwhile, the film's launch is likely to be held in August, after the month of Ashada, and then the team plans to kick start the movie's shoot.
