Dhruva Sarja : The new dance icon of sandalwood

Three-film-year-old actor puts in his heart and soul into his acting and dance moves; his next movie Bharjari could be a treat for fans

Published: 11th July 2017

Dhruva Sarja, working on his third film, has already earned his fame and has always managed to establish a distinct style. Having gathered a huge fan following, he wants to give his best to every project - in terms of his looks, style and entertainment. The actor wants his work in the next film to speak volumes, and is intent on setting the stage on fire with his dance moves.

And going by the pictures that CE caught hold of, of the introductory song from Bharjari, he is sure to set many hearts ablaze with his impeccable style. The shoot for this was done last week.

Choregrapher-turned-director Harsha has set the dance sequence for this song, and it shows Dhurva experimenting with floor dance moments. This style requires much flexibility and stamina, and the actor seems to have aced it. The track with music by Harikrishna and lyrics by director Chetan Kumar — Evana Vamsha Sarja Ri, evannu always Bharjari.. symbolu Dhruva Nakshatra, touch maadodu kashta ri — keeps up the tempo.

Dhruva says, “I had tried a new dancing style in my debut Addhuri and explored a different avatar for Bahaddhur. So, when I was told that Bharjari needs an introductory song that stresses on dancing, Harsha master planned a unique set of moves for me. Therefore, the whole dance sequence is done using knee movements. I took a week to rehearse for the song before shooting for it, and so much of hardwork has gone into it from Harsha, myself and team.”

Costumes for the song have been designed by Pavithra Reddy, and Dhruva was joined by 80 trained dancers in the massive set erected at Minerva Mills.

Puneeth is already known as the best dancer in Sandalwood, and it seems like Dhruva is following his foot steps and he agrees. “I take inspiration from Puneeth and Prabhudeva,” he says. Dhruva, who is constantly looking to improve his dancing style, will soon be the young style icon of Sandalwood.

With the film now in post-production and its audio release being organised, there is another big news from
Bharjari sets. We hear that there is great demand from distributors for this movie, but no deals have been struck yet.

Chetan Kumar’s directorial also features Rachita Ram in the lead with Hariprriya playing a pivotal role along with Vaishali Deepak. The film has cinematography by Shreesha Kuduvalli.
