7. ALIAS - Jennifer Garner was a certified badass and her one woman show made all five seasons of this spy drama enjoyable to the hilt. She set the bar for all female action heroes to follow suit
6. MARVEL's AGENTS OF SHIELD - The lesser known of the Marvel properties, this show's leading women - Ming-Na Wen (Agent May) & Chloe Benett (Daisy/Skye) - led the way with their hand-to-hand combat
5. PERSON OF INTEREST - Created by Jonathan Nolan, this precursor to Black Mirror had stellar combat sequences led by Jim Cavaziel. Many wanted, and still want, him to play an older Batman.
4. PRISON BREAK - The first season of this show is one of the all-time greats. Pulling off a fantastic action sequence depends as much on the setting and this one had it perfectly down to the tee.
3. ARROW - If it weren't for Stephen Amell's inspired take on the Green Arrow, CW wouldn't have the line-up of shows it has now. There is a separate fanbase for his salmon ladder exploits.
2. GAME OF THRONES - No action list would be complete without GoT. Hardholme, Battle of Bastards, even the final season's much criticised The Long Night are some of the best to be filmed on/for TV
1. DAREDEVIL - If you were expecting anything else as #1, you were sorely mistaken. The Hallway fight scene in S1 & the Prison scene in S3 are two of the best fight choreography sequences of all time
