Prime Video announced the release date of the fourth season of The Boys, on Thursday. The series will premiere on the streaming platform on June 13.
The Boys is based on Garth Ennis and Darick Robertson's New York Times best-selling comic. They also serve as executive producers on the show. Jack Quaid, Karl Urban, Antony Starr, Chace Crawford, Erin Moriarty, Laz Alonso, and Karen Fukuhara form the lead cast of The Boys. Season 4 has added Rosemarie Dewitt, Rob Benedict, Elliot Knight, and Simon Pegg as cast members.
Previously, Prime Video released a teaser trailer. The teaser trailer starts by showing Victoria Neuman getting closer and closer to heading the Government, of course, with the help of Homelander, who is now trying to gain all that he lost. We then see Butcher has lost Becca's son to Homelander, as his lifespan is already reduced. The Boys team try really hard to come together despite the challenges they face and try to save the day before it's too late.
The third season of The Boys ended with Soldier Boy (Jensen Ackles) defeated and put back on ice. Karl Urban's Billy Butcher goes back to his 'boys' after receiving the diagnosis of only having 12 to 18 months to live, due to the fact he juiced up on Compound V. The Boys, consisting of Frenchie, Hughie, Mother's Milk, Kimiko and Annie are ready to go to war against the Supes.
The Boys is produced by Amazon Studios and Sony Pictures Television Studios, with Kripke Enterprises, Original Film, and Point Grey Pictures.
