Kaapa teaser promises an action-packed gangster film

As Prithviraj celebrates his birthday today, the makers of Kaapa have released the film's teaser. It begins with Nandu's character giving a brief introduction to the gangster culture in Thiruvananthapuram. We then see glimpses of actors Dileesh Pothan, Asif Ali, Anna Ben and Aparna Balamurali before Prithviraj makes a mass entry. The actor plays a character named Kotta Madhu in the film.
Kaapa is directed by Shaji Kailas. The film has its story, screenplay, and dialogues written by author GR Indugopan. It revolves around the Kerala Anti-Social Activities (Prevention) Act, 2007, popularly known as the Kaapa act, which aims to provide for the effective prevention and control of certain kinds of anti-social activities in the State of Kerala.
Dolwin Kuriakose, Jinu Abraham, and Dileesh Nair are producing the film under the banners of the Film Employees Federation of Kerala (FEFKA) Writers Union and Theatre of Dreams. Mumbai-based Yoodlee Films are also on board as the producers.
Jomon T John is the cinematographer and edits are handled by Shameer Muhammed. The makers have confirmed the film as a Christmas release.
