Just a day before the film's release, the makers of the Prithviraj Sukumaran-starrer Gold released the first video song. The track, titled Thanne Thanne, is composed by Rajesh Murugesan. The lyrics are written by Shabareesh Varma, and the song is sung by Vijay Yesudas and Rajesh.

The video features Prithviraj Sukumaran and Deepti Sati, with a bunch of background artists dancing to the song in front of a house. Dinesh Kumar has choreographed this upbeat track, which is enhanced by vibrant visuals and flashy edits.

Gold marks Alphonse Puthren's return to direction after seven long years. Besides scripting and directing, he has also handled the film's editing, stunts, VFX, and animation. Produced by Prithviraj Productions and Listin Stephen's Magic Frame, the film stars Nayanthara as the female lead. Gold also features Roshan Mathew, Ajmal Ameer, Lalu Alex, Chemban Vinod Jose, Vinay Forrt, Shine Tom Chacko, Prem Kumar, Baburaj, Mallika Sukumaran, Shammi Thilakan, Jagadish, Deepti Sathi, and Shanti Krishna among others. Earlier, the makers had hinted that many other celebrities will make cameo appearances in the film. The film was released in the theatres on Thursday.
